Hot Chocolate Wedding Favors Ideas

by Editor on March 8, 2010

My fiance suggested ordering personalized mugs with our names and dates and then putting a bag of hot chocolate inside. A Clear bag with ribbons.

Our colors are a dark brown and pink. I would be willing to do both handmade or store bought.

He loves his chocolate, so, if there’s any other unique chocolaty (but not quick to perish) favor ideas out there please bring them to my attention!

How about monogrammed mugs with just the initial of your husbands last name. Monogrammed themes are pretty popular right now, so you could use that in other areas. If you are crafty, you could probably get plain mugs and monogram them yourself. Including a monogramed chocolate in each would be nice too.

No one wants those personlized item. They just get shoved in a cabinet and forgotten. Make it something disposable. I would just do a package of flavors. You may want to put half hot chocolat, have hot tea out.. not everyone likes hot choclate and that way people can trade if they like.

I think your idea sounds great as is! I would love to receive that as a favor. It would also be a fun project to gather your wedding party and put everything together if you buy all the pieces separately.

i love the idea of hot chocolate mix. i don’t think you need to do the mug, that could get pricey. if you get some of those pretty organza bags in pink and brown and put a ribbon on them in the opposite color, maybe a little tag that says “thank you for sharing our special day” on them. you could put your names and the date on it too. that would be really nice!!!

I made chocolate chocolate puzzle pieces. The pieces were being completed kind of thing. They were done a couple weeks before the wedding and frozen so they would be fresh! They turned out awesome.

People dont want items that take up room. Chocolate they can eat and throw away the wrapper. Keep it simple!

colored m&m’s are always good – and you can have them personalized so they fit your colors (they definately have dark brown and pink!) and have your names and the date (or something else) on the back!

the hot chocolate seems like a really nice idea….maybe simple glass mugs that look more classy

either will be unique – nice job

This site has many ideas for single packets in a variety of flavors. I think I’d pick 2 flavors (1 for each of you) and using double faced tape, put them together and tie with ribbons that coordinate to your colors.
