Where can I find cheap wedding dresses suitable for a outdoor spring wedding?

I am getting married for the second time in March 09. This will be my fiance’s first wedding so I want to wear something really beautiful for him. But we are getting married in spring and it will be outdoors. Please give me any advice on where to find a pretty but not to formal dress that won’t use my whole wedding budget!!

I went to David’s Bridal two days ago actually and bought mine during the $99 sale and let me tell you-the dress is AMAZING. Same price as second hand, but brand new and more contemporary.

Oh and the original price was $699! Call your local store and ask when their next sale is!

How cheap are you thinking here?

What is your price range for a dress? Over $100? $200-$500? Under $1000? It all depends… but here are a few cheaper and less formal dresses for you to look at! (If these don’t work for you then just go to Target or some other clothes shop and keep an eye out for nice white dresses)

There’s nothing wrong with going to second hand stores, a lot of women donate their wedding dresses. Goodwill, the Salvation Army. If you find a dress you like, you can have it dried cleaned, and add your own garnishments to it if you want. If it’s too long, hem it up, if it’s too short, just add a layer of lace to the bottom and use the same lace as part of your veil or something on top of the dress. You can use a nice hat instead and put the lace around the brim and have it hanging down the back a bit. A girlfriend of mine did that and it looked gorgeous, and she added a few silk flowers to it. Best wishes and good luck!

Ah, but you don’t give a colour! White? Pastel? Print?

You might want to think about wearing a bridesmaid dress. My best friend did this for her spring wedding and it was beautiful. She picked a white bridesmaid dress, long to her feet and her brides maids all wore shorter tea length dresses in her wedding colours.
