Budget wedding favors–eco-friendly & DIY?

I’m getting married next June (2010). We’re planning on have about 120 people and we’re on a pretty tight budget. I think my theme color will be either sage green or clover, and that got me thinking that I would like to do some sort of eco-friendly favors. The personalized seed packets are way over my budget, as well as the plantable seed ornaments. I’m open to anything that is out there to buy and also ideas of favors I can make myself. Even if they aren’t eco-friendly, I’m still open to favor ideas of any sort that are inexpensive and not cheesy. Thanks!!!

I am looking for ECO FRIENDLY recycled paper vegetable ink wedding invitations. We are very eco concious and I can’t find any reasonably priced wedding invites to use. Our colour theme is apple green, chocolate brown and cream. We need approx. 90-100 invites, and my total budget for the invites is $250 INCLUDING shipping. I can print the wording myself on my computer/printer, so I basically want a DIY invitation kit.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
Eco-Friendly Wedding Favor: Ceramic Potted Plant?

Hi everyone,
I’m having my very Indian wedding early next year and I want my wedding favors to be little potted Tulsi plants (Tulsi is very sacred in the Hindu culture). Anyways, I have no idea how to go about this! I was thinking of buying colorful little ceramic pots and planting 3 seeds into each of them in my backyard. Would it be more cost effective to just buy them potted? Also, is it possible to get ceramic flower pots engraved or would it be cheaper to tie messages to them? And on the day of the wedding, since the pots have holes in the bottom (right?) I will have to find someway to not have them leak all over my guests on their way to their homes. Please let me know if you have any ideas and id love more info if you’ve done this at your wedding or been to one that had this! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any Tips For Planning an Eco-Friendly Wedding?

I want my wdding to be as ECO FRIENDLY and environmentally friendly as possible on a TIGHT budget. Our budget is $3500- we don’t have to pay for the hall, tables, chairs, or minister. And our DJ is already paid for, too.
So, we have to do everything else, including caterer, for $3500- our caterer quoted us $1500, so that leaves us $2000 for everything else.
I want to use seeded invitations (plantable invites) and plantable seeded favors. Any links to websites with this sort of thing on a budget would be great!
Also looking for an organic cotton wedding dress for less than $600.
And finally, I’m looking for organic rice paper lanterns for decorations, and anything organic eco friendly to decorate with, give for favors, or wear…
Any hints, tips, and website links would be great!!
